Weaponry research projects can be divided into eight primary lines of research for ranged weapons: Ammunition, Barrel Mods, Grip and Stock Mods, Internal Mods, Magazine and Battery Mods, Muzzle Mods, Optic and Laser Mods, and Receiver Mods. There are two additional lines of research for melee weapons: Blade Mods, and Handle Mods.
Note that Magazine and Battery Mods 3 and Muzzle Mods 3 require rank 1 of the Special Projects skill.
